Make Your Own Baby Wipes
Are you going through a lot of expensive baby wipes? Make your own baby wipes easily and cheaply. You will need some Johnson’s Baby Head-to-toe and Baby Oil, paper towels, and a tall container to put the paper towels in. You can select the type of paper towels you use depending on what you are going to use them for. For diapering you might want to use the full sheet type, for cleaning a toddlers face after eating your may want to use the half size sheets.
Cut your roll of paper towels in half with a sharp knife. Use high quality paper towels that are on the thick side or they will break down too quickly. A brand like Viva works well. Put the paper towels into your container. Add a well mixed solution of 2 cups hot water, 2 Tablespoons of Johnson’s Head to Toe wash, and 1 tablespoon of baby oil. With some body wash products you may have to adjust the amount of wash used. Some people also add a tablespoon of coconut oil, so that is worth a try. You can also make these in a gallon size zip lock container and put them in your diaper bag for use on the go. This will also increase your money savings by eliminating another product to buy that you can make yourself.
After your pour the solution in the container, put the lid on until the paper towels are completely saturated. This may take 2-4 minutes. Then you can take the lid off and remove the cardboard from inside the paper towels. Only make one roll at a time or you might find that the second towels are too mushy by the time you get to them.
